Ordering texts

You can order translations in a few clicks. The advantage of translations lies in the quality of texts written by native speakers who bring easy-to-read texts to your international audience.

Steps:

From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Products. It can be any other category for translation.
Select items that you want to order from TextMaster.
Click More actions > Add agency translation.

Select a language and fields for translation.

Click Add to cart.

NOTE You can add only one language to cart at a time. The maximum number of products per order should not exceed 200 items per language.

Translate Shopify Metafields

Shopify provides the ability to add custom metafields to various objects such as products, orders, customers, etc. These metafields can contain specialized information that isn't natively captured by the Shopify admin, e.g. part numbers, color swatches, related products, etc.

LangShop can identify and translate Shopify metafields of single line text and multi-line text type. You can read more about metafields types here.

Translate metafields

As metafields are the parts of its resources (products, collections, etc), they are translated together with the resource.

From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Products.

LangShop can translate metafields also for product variants and collections.
Select products you want to translate metafields for and click the Translate button.

Steps:

From your LangShop admin, go to Settings > Languages.
Click Add language.

Select languages from the list.

** NOTE You can add 1 language on Free and Basic plan, up to 3 different languages if you are on LangShop Standard plan, up to 5 languages on Advanced Plan, and 10 languages on Pro Plan. For LangShop Enterprise Plan and Unlimited Plan users, the maximum number of languages is limited to 20 languages. **

Choose the translation driver before starting the translation of the store is also available upon adding a new language

The DeepL API is accessible with a DeepL Pro subscription - DeepL API Pro plan (for developers).

You need to have a paid account on DeepL Pro Plan to generate API Key and use it in LangShop. You can find the API key in your account settings.

Steps:

Log in to your DeepL account.

In the Account tab, scroll down to find Authentication Key for DeepL API.

Copy the DeepL API key to enable it in LangShop.

Enable LangShop in Online Store 2.0

With the release of Online Store 2.0, a Shopify's theme architecture, LangShop features must be enabled on the frontend. In particular, to make dynamic text and a language and currency switcher visible for your customers, you must enable the block in your current theme settings.

You can enable LangShop in Online Store 2.0 in a few clicks through Shopify admin.

Steps:

From the Shopify admin, go to Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes.
Click the Customize button.

Theme settings > App embeds.

Switch on Enable LangShop toggle.

Click Save.

Note:

This feature allows you to disable Langshop JavaScript on the frontend. If you don’t enable LangShop in theme settings, LangShop JavaScript won’t be uploaded. Thus, switchers and dynamic text become disabled.
