Import translations

LangShop allows importing translations of products, collections, blogs, blog posts, pages, storefront elements, store components, etc. using CSV and PO file formats. You can import new or updated translations for additional languages.

Import and export translations' feature are available starting from Standard plan. Learn more about LangShop pricing here.

From your LangShop admin, go to Translations > Products.
It can be any other resource you want to import.

Select the items.

Click More actions > Import.

Select the language that will take part in the import process.

You can import only one file for one language at a time. If you have five or more languages in your online store, you will need to import translations separately for each language.

Choose CSV or PO file from your local storage.

Make sure it matches LangShop CSV or PO file format. If the file and its structure are incorrect, the import process will fail.

The imported file can't exceed 30 MB. If you get an error when trying to upload a new CSV file, make sure to check the size properties before importing file to the app.

Check the box if you want to overwrite the existing translations and replace them with empty fields instead.

In case your CSV or PO file has no translations for some products in the target column for an additional language, LangShop will import all texts and empty fields that will erase your previous translations. You won't be able to recover this action.

Uncheck the box if you want to keep your current translations. After the import process, LangShop will only replace old data with new translations without touching empty fields.

Click Import products.

Please wait for LangShop to complete the import process. When LangShop finishes importing translations, you will receive an email confirmation.

You can also check the updates from the LangShop admin > Notifications (can be found on Dashboard).
